Anastasia

Anastasia is a mermaid living in the deep ocean and is inspired by the animals that live there. She has the wide mouth, jagged teeth, and glowing light of an angler fish. The wing shaped fins, transparency, and horns of a butterfly sea slug. Living in the deep ocean food is scarce, she used her horns to smell and even taste prey from faraway. Then lures them in with the glowing light from her uvula to swallow them whole. Occasionally she goes to the surface to attract men, inviting them to swim in deeper waters to drag them down and eat them. To conserve energy, she uses her wings to catch underwater currents to carry her. However, she is a fast swimmer because of her strong tail. Parts of her body is transparent to help sneak up on prey though her top half gives her away.
